- 2. The child I am caring for needs a ride to a doctor?s visit.
-
If the child is on TennCare, TennCare will provide transportation if the child does not have a ride. Transportation is arranged through the child?s Managed Care Organization (MCO) and is available to and from the doctor, hospital, or pharmacy. You should call at least five days in advance in order to arrange a ride. If there is an emergency and you don?t have five days warning of a doctor?s visit, you may have the child?s doctor call the MCO to arrange for a ride. For more details regarding transportation, contact the child?s MCO. The number for the child?s MCO should be on the child?s TennCare card.
