The Relative Caregiver ProgramThe Relative Caregiver Program (RCP) was created by the Tennessee General Assembly to support children who are not living with their parents. The primary goal is to keep children from entering state custody. The Department of Children?s Services (DCS) implements the program. The program offers several supportive services that include:
The RCP provides emergency or start-up financial assistance annually if you meet the requirements. RCP also provides material assistance (beds, refrigerator, stove, etc.) when needed. To qualify for the RCP, you must:
